
Our Staff
Calvin J. Carr, Pastor
Pastor Calvin is a graduate of the University of Florida and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. During his college days in Gainesville he attended North Central and was involved in the college and music ministries of the church. He also met Kelly, his wife, at North Central and they were married in 1982. After graduating from Southwestern, Calvin & Kelly returned to North Central, and Calvin served as Youth Pastor from 1985-1989. The Carr's left Gainesville for Jacksonville, as Calvin was called to First Baptist Jacksonville to serve as the High School Youth Pastor. Calvin served at FBC Jax for almost 20 years before God led him back again to North Central. Calvin and Kelly have five children, Paul, Katherine, Rachel, Jennifer, and Jerre.
Michael Anderson, Associate Pastor of Worship and Music
Michael first joined the staff of NCBC in March of 2000 while a student at the University of Florida. He grew up in Jacksonville and was called into the ministry while in high school. Michael left the Jacksonville area and moved to Gainesville to study music. While at UF he met his wife Karrie, and they were married at NCBC in 2001. He completed a Bachelor of Music Education at UF. In July of 2004 Michael and Karrie moved to New Orleans to attend the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. After Katrina struck in August of 2005, Michael and his wife Karrie returned to Florida and have rejoined the staff at NCBC.
Zach Allen, Associate Pastor of Students & Education
Zach joined the staff of NCBC in August of 2005 after graduating Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity degree. He grew up in Oviedo Florida and was called into ministry as a high school junior. He pursued an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Communications at Florida State University in Tallahassee Florida. Zach worked in the Youth Ministry of First Baptist Church Tallahassee beginning as a Youth Intern, and closing out his last year and a half as the Interim Youth Minister. In Tallahassee he met his wife Shelley, who also graduated from Florida State. Zach and Shelley have been married since 2001 and have two sons, Jackson and Walker. Zach coordinates the Student Ministry program and works with students and their families ranging from sixth grade through the college years. He also helps with the Sunday School ministry of North Central that seeks to reach, teach, and minister to those associated with NCBC.
Karrie Anderson, Preschool Director
Karrie provides leadership for our Precious Preschoolers, enlisting and assigning workers, and getting right in there and working with kids herself.
